Backup reference
Access Gateway backup supports the following operations:
- Rename: Rename the external label associated with a backup.
- Delete: Delete the selected backup.
Delete and rename: Available since Access Gateway version 2020.06.3
- Download: Encrypt and download locally (off appliance) the selected backup.
- Restore: Use a local or off appliance file to restore Access Gateway. See Perform Restore.
Rename
- Navigate to your Access GatewayInstance.
- Select the Logs and Backups tab.
- Select the Backups pane.
- Select a backup from the list of available backups and click its associated .
- In the Edit Name dialog enter a new name.
- Click Save to save the change or Cancel to abort.
Note:
The contents and time stamp associated with the restore aren't impacted by name changes. Only the label associated with the backup is changed.
Download
- Go to your Access Gateway instance.
- Select the Logs and Backups tab.
- Select a backup from the list of available backups and click its associated .
- Enter a password to use to encrypt the backup in the Create password field.
- Verify the encryption password by entering it again in the Confirm password field.
- Click Continue to create and download the backup.
- Save the backup to a local disk.
Note:
The password used to encrypt a backup isn't stored and can't be retrieved.
Delete
- Navigate to your Access GatewayInstance.
- Select the Logs and Backups tab.
- Select the Backups pane.
- Select a backup from the list of available backups and click its associated .
- Review the Delete backup warning dialog and click Delete backup to delete the backup or Cancel to abort.
Note:
You can't retrieve a deleted backup. Ensure that a backup is no longer required before deleting.
